Prayer meetings
The PTA is actively involved in various ways to encourage the spiritual well-being of CAJ's students. Numerous prayer meetings are offered each month. Every Friday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m. various adults meet together to pray for the needs of CAJ. All are welcome to join in the Harvest Hall of Matsukawa Place.
Parents in Prayer
Meetings are held once a month for one hour. These prayer meetings are attended by parents of CAJ students and divided by grade level. Each “class” of parents meets once a month to pray for their child's class. Most of these prayer meetings happen in Harvest Hall. The schedule for all prayer meetings can be found on the CAJ Prayer Meetings iCal.
Prayer Guides
Each September the PTA produces bookmarks that can be used as prayer guides. These bookmarks list the names of all the students in each grade. The CAJ Web site also has a monthly prayer guide that gives a specific prayer request for CAJ for each day of the month. A printed copy of this prayer guide is also available that includes the names of all the staff to guide you in praying for them as well. Bookmarks and printed prayer guides are handed out at the beginning of the school year or you can pick one up in the business office.
Scripture Memory Program Each summer the middle school and high school students are encouraged to memorize Scripture. The 100 verses chosen for each summer are made available on this site from June through September. The students will recite their verses in September to volunteer parents. If you are interested in being a listener, please let us know by sending an e-mail to ptaprays@caj.or.jp or by filling out a PTA volunteer from. A financial reward of ¥10,000 is given to those students who memorize all 100 verses.
Tithing for Summer Missions
The PTA is very excited to join with our students as they learn to personally reach out to others around the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The PTA gives 10% of the profits of Thrift Shop towards this end. Students are encouraged to submit an application to the PTA for support towards their mission trip/project. Students can pick up an application from the CAJ registrar.

Scripture Memory Project
CAJ students going into grades 6 through 12 are offered a ¥10,000 award for participating in the PTA Scripture Memory Project (100 verses total, or ¥2,500 per 25 verses), plus the treasure of God's Word in their heart. They must memorize the passages during summer vacation (all 100 verses or in blocks of 25, 50 or 75 verses). Verses may be downloaded from this page or picked up in the business office from June 6. To sign up, interested students can simply send an e-mail to ptaprays@caj.or.jp, with "Scripture Memory" as the subject and their name and grade next year in the body. To earn the award, the verses must be recited to a PTA representative by the end of September 2010.
