SSS Stories +
Stories Plus targets our kindergarten age SSS children who live within commuting distance of CAJ. Whether your child attends Japanese yochien or is at home with mom, you may want to bring your child to this club. The club meets two times per month with the specific dates listed on the SSS calendar. “Club meetings” about 45 minutes which should not be too long for younger children to sit through. Mrs. Johnson reads the children stories and does an activity with them. The target age is 5 years old, but if you think your younger or older children would enjoy attending and be able to participate, they are welcome to try it!

We meet on Friday mornings at 10::00 a.m. (3 and 4 year olds) and 11:00 a.m. (5 and 6 year olds).

While the children are having their “club meeting”, parents are encouraged to join their children for Stories+. Jeannie Johnson is a master teacher. Attending with your child, is a great way to learn a lot about teaching by watching Mrs. Johnson and parents are often needed to help children with the craft.

You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or you may buy lunch at the CAJ cafeteria. The picnic tables in the plaza are placed under picturesque cherry trees for an outside picnic or eat in the school cafeteria with CAJ students. You do not have to buy CAJ lunch to eat in the dining hall. After Stories+ we encourage parents to take their children out to the playground to play and parents can get acquainted with each other.
