Below is a quick snapshot of the PTA-sponsored events for this school year. Additional information will be posted each month as the event draws near. Your participation and willingness to help is what makes these events possible.

August 25 New Family Orientation Parents of new students learn lots of important information about life at CAJ.
August 30 to September 5 FBC Order Week A fund raising week when FBC (Foreign Buyers Club) donates 5% of your order total to CAJ PTA.
September 23 Back-to-School Day Informative time where all parents hear their children’s teachers, visit classrooms and receive important information regarding the academic year ahead.
October 23 and 24 Thrift Shop Huge "garage sale" or bazaar held twice each year.
December 14 Christmas Baked Goods Baked goods are passed out as Christmas gifts to neighbors, Higashi Kurume station attendants and local store workers.
January 18 to 21 Third Culture Kid Seminar Informative meeting to help students and parents understand the implications of growing up in mixed cultures.
February 22 to 26 Staff Appreciation Week Special week to show teachers and staff how thankful we are for their dedication and hard work.
February 28 to March 6 FBC Order Week A fund raising week when FBC (Foreign Buyers Club) donates 5% of your order total to CAJ PTA.
April 23 and 24 Thrift Shop Huge "garage sale" or bazaar held twice each year.
June 4 Graduation Reception Celebration to honor the 2010 graduates, held immediately after the Graduation ceremony.
Summer Scripture Memory Program Middle school and high school students are challenged to memorize 100 pre-selected verses and earn ¥10,000.
Upcoming
Scripture Memory Program   Each summer middle school and high school students are encouraged to memorize Scripture. The 100 verses chosen for each summer are made available on this site from June through September. The students will recite their verses in September to volunteer parents. If you are interested in being a listener, please let us know by sending an e-mail to ptaprays@caj.or.jp or by filling out a PTA volunteer from. A financial reward of ¥10,000 is given to those students who memorize all 100 verses.
